Scream franchise
This is a US slasher franchise which includes six movies, the TV series, fames and merchandise. The first four movies were under the direction of Wes Craven. The movie series was made by Kevin Williamson, and who wrote the initial two movies and the fourth; while Ehren Kruger was the one wrote the third. Its fifth and sixth series were under the direction of Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, with James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick served as the writers and Williamson returned as the executive producer.
Story Outline
Scream, 1996
Scream presented a self-referential approached to horror through featuring the cast of characters being aware of the clichés/conventions of the horror movie genre and capable of using them to endure. The movie focuses on a teen Sidney Prescott when she comes under harass from the odd character dubbed Ghostface though dealing with her mother’s anniversary death. The movie went on to become the financials success and then received considerable serious acclaim for the deconstruction of horror genres. It’s credited with revitalizing a horror genre during the mid 90s then inspiring the collection of imitators.
Scream 2, 1997
Scream 2 series sustained with Scream 2, Like Scream the movie features characters that are aware of the terrifying or horror genre and its conventions of horror sequel, ridiculing them while at once falling victim into them. Scream 3, 2000
Scream 3 series continued but Williamson was not able to formulate the complete script because of his commitment to a short-lived TV series. Scream 4, 2011

The movie can undergo significant alterations because of the poor audience response. The movie took place after ten years from the previous movie, and once more follows Sidney Prescott when she come back to Woodsboro, the imaginary town where the Scream takes place, and at the final stop of the book tour and encountered one more set of murder and the killer, again use the guise of the Ghostface.
Scream, 2022
In 2011, Wes Craven confirmed that he was contracted for working the 5th and 6th installment of the franchise of Scream, to be created if the 4th movie achieved a winning release and reception. Subsequent difficulties with the script rewrites from Scream 4, Scream 3 and Scream 2, often with pages being ready only on the filming day, and the linking stress of the instances, Craven stated that he’ll need to watch the finalized edition of the script for the Scream 5 just before committing to its production. Actor David Arquette added his support to the potential future of this franchise, stating that definitely leaves it unlock, before adding that he’ll welcome the chance to play Dewey character in the future installments. After Craven’s death in 2015 and the sexual misbehavior allegations, Harvey Weinstein cut down Weinstein Company, and the series future had been in limbo. But, in early 2019, Blumhouse Productions became interested in enlivening the sequence and that the head of the studio Jason Blum had been working on making Scream installments happen.
In 2020 of March, it was stated that Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin would direct the 5th installment. Guy Busick and James Vanderbilt were the added writers.Neve Campbell talked to reprise her character as Sidney Prescott and David Arquette would reprise his role as Dewey Riley. It was confirmed that the movie would start the production later at Wilmington, North Carolina to deal with safety protocols with the pandemic of COVID-19. Cox posted her video confirming her return in Scream franchise for the 5th installment. Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera were cast in the undisclosed roles. Jack Quaid joined their casting in the undisclosed role. Marley Shelton and Neve Campbell would return reprising their roles with Mason Gooding, Dylan Minnette, Kyle Gallner, Mikey Madison, Sonia Ben Ammar, and Jasmin Savoy Brown joining the cast and the movie official title would only be Scream.
Scream VI, 2023
The fifth movie directors and Campbell have expressed their interest in making of the future movies in the series and the sixth installment had been officially greenlit with the similar creative team returning, also with the production slated to start in Montreal, Canada, in mid-2022. Courtney Cox would also reprise her role being Gale Weathers. Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega and Jasmin Savoy Brown would return also for the 6th film. Hayden Panettiere would also reprise her role as Kirby Reed coming from the 4th film. Dermot Mulroney also joined the cast.
