Narrative
The guy named Mario came home, having sold the bingo hall. Apparently in a daze, Mario danced around to the music of a classic Italian played on vinyl. He starts speaking to himself, then the picture of his deceased wife Patricia about that sale. He said that he will fulfill his promise that he will leave the place. He places down the money suitcase, and starts to greedily eat the serving tray packed of bingo balls. The ominous voice coaxed him on, until Mario chokes to death.
The old lady named Lupita walks about the Oak Spring one morning and met up Clarence, her friend, the auto repair shop owner. Lupita then went on to see Yolanda, the hairdresser, whose electricity has been fixed by Morris. Then, Morris was not able of fixing it because he said he does not have the proper tools and then left. Cut to Dolores, someone that is mad with Raquel, the daughter-in-law, for not giving proper discipline to her grandson who had been breaking cars and running away with anything he wanted. She’s angry also with her daughter-in-law because she is not doing her side and being irresponsible when around the house right after moving in during the passing of her husband.
Yolanda met Dolores and the two meets up Lupita who had been there already. They had the discussion about Caleb, then, Lupita takes up the resemblance with the son of Dolores, who had died and takes problem with it. After that awkward silence, Lupita apologized to Dolores and she accepted begrudgingly before Lupita finally leave. Lupita goes to the bingo game at a local bingo hall; however, they finish up the time they realized Mario had not paid the electric bills. The following day, Lupita together with her friends locates the flyers around the city, saying that a bingo hall is now under new management. Dolores, Yolanda, Lupita, Morris, and Clancy decide to have a look at the hall and realized that this bingo hall had been transformed to a casino. When they are still there, Dolores spotted Raquel, who won ten thousand dollars coming from Mr. Big, the owner.
Writer’s Notion
The movie is very entertaining and a well done one, despite its tonal issues. Bingo Hell is an oddly wonderful little horror genre that is not afraid to make anything that the movie needs. You will weirdly found yourself quite enjoying with how this movie turned out, it was not the movie you might expect it to be, but, in fact the movie had some astonishing deeper moments. Tonally the movie has it all. It may have a bit of sentimental at times, some drama, a little of goofy and just plain creepy and absurd. It is a mess of sounds and it showed that the writers really is not aware where to move with the tale at hand, however, but it handles to grab the viewer’s attention in every step in the movie and will surely keep you attentive.
The cast acting is quite good surprising and Adriana obviously stands out, and there are also some other peak supporting performances from the other casts. The cinematography is a very interesting blend of new and old. The music choices are really excellent. It may be a little ridiculous at times, and also tonally frustrating, however, in the end, the weird bingo hall horror flick really manages to surprise the audience and they prove it to be pleasing. It is by no means one great film that handles to be a terrifying, funny ride.
