Narrative
Emma is not happily wedded to her controlling, cold husband Mark, who had been working as a criminal lawyer. After ending the affair with Tom, the partner of her husband in his firm, Emma went out with Mark and celebrated their anniversary. Then Mark surprised Emma with the necklace that is made of steel, drove her to the secluded lake home that they were visiting before, when they are still in their relationship. Then, he later apologized for the past behavior, he showed and then they make love.
In the following morning, Emma woke up and saw herself handcuffed with Mark, who suddenly shot his head. Forced to pull Mark’s body everywhere, Emma soon discovered that he smashed her phone and then take out every sharp items in the house. Emma finally locates the SUV keys inside the trash and goes straight to the garage. The moment she starts the car, the radio played the unkind message from Mark, saying that he knew about the affair. The SUV died as if all the gas were siphoned out. After hours, Tom came in the house on the lake. He explained that he was calling from there by messages coming from the phone of Emma and that Mark had been facing disbarment for some illegal activities. They mutually realized that Mark sent those messages just as the truck was seen coming in the distance.
Emma was told by Tom to hide as the guy named Jimmy came out of a truck. He told Tom he was there to repair the plumbing issue and refused to leave the moment Tom tried persuading him. Bobby, Jimmy’s brother, gets out of that truck and stabbed Tom to death. It was revealed that Bobby was the stalker who also attacked Emma before and just set free from the prison after serving the ten year sentence. Emma handles to avoid the guys and make it to a boat shed. She used the anchor to cut her free from the body of Mark and hides when the guys entered the shed. Emma overheard them revealing that Mark hired them so they kill her and also, they must locate the diamonds that they were promised. Then, Bobby suspected the diamonds are safe in the bedroom, which required Mark’s fingerprints and the code that Emma will then know.
Writer’s Notion
It appears to have much backlash over the movie, but, the movie was even better than it is expected and is even far better than its present rating. This movie is carried by Fox. What makes this movie good is that, the movie is quite simple and just gets straight to whatever is their point. It is not really long and it does not drag. It is shot really nicely and the outside scenes are great to observe, even though somewhat of that predictable ending, it still gets their job done perfectly.
The viewers went in with a very low expectation for sure, but the movie and Fox will surprise you. The lady’s mystery handcuffed to a corpse of the dead husband had been so interesting, but it takes even more as the tale unfolds. You will be kept hooked till the finale with some very clever writing in their final act and a very excellent overall action.
