Narrative
The Taylors, Greg, an academic, Helen, an MD, recently born Mia, their teen daughter Zoe and Kai, the pre-teen son, the adopted one, had just moved to the spacious home in the rural area, miles away from the city.
Their idyllic situation soon ended, because the economy collapses, schools closes, food shortages, and there is chaos and looting. The state comes under the martial law. When they are “shopping” in an empty-shelved local marketplace, Helen aids the frightened young pregnant lady to pick up some medical supplies. After that, the armed boy showed up and asked for Helen. The father, Winter; the boy, Matty, and the market lady Amber was living next door. There were issues with the baby. Will Helen help?
Helen and Greg were taken by Matty to the underground fortified bunker. At the underground, the cranky Winter testily allowed Helen to examine Amber. Although Winter was getting paranoid, after their house was looted, the Taylors had to look for shelter with him and the bunker was their only choice. In this confined surroundings, arguing between Greg and Helen, Winter soon starts. Winter wondered how the pacifist Greg would ever protect his personal life. In fact, Winter thought that he, himself, could be the best mate for Helen compared to her husband. The children were caught in the core of these tussles. Finally, Amber’s baby was born, but there’s no baby food found in the bunker.
And from the beginning, Helen was aware of the rules of kingdom of Winter, and that she had to keep her kin on board, even if SHTF, since there is much worse that is waiting outside. But maybe a risk inside is more than outside.
Writer’s Notion
The movie is not great and this movie did a thing well and it also kept moving and will held your curiosity. Starting from the beginning till the end, you will be caught up in tension and excitement. The movie was also bad in most respects. The casts acting were really terrible, particularly from the female role. The ending was really anticlimactic and you will rarely complain about the casts acting.
The movie was just like another scene; however, it was in a climax. The movie had its potential but it was wasted because of the low in budget. It starts off instead of being good, and although the acting was good, but it just go downhill fast right after they transferred in the underground bunker, that seems to the audience that the writers had ran out of some creative ideas.
The movie soon became more like of a drama with a bit to no action or excitement at all, and the coupled with the lacklustre script soon became like the wet Sunday afternoon film. There is really nothing redeeming about the movie and if you watched this movie and hoping that it would turn out for the best, then you are sadly gone to the worse part of it. Every part of the movie, like the plot and script is not really good!
