This is another popular Taiwanese occult terrifying franchise movie that entitled “The Rope Curse”. It returns with their 3rd installment now, serving up even more ghostly-goings on, rituals, and folklore from the direction again of Mr. Shih-han Liao. The movie writers are Keng-Ming Chang with Tzu-Ming Ma.

Story Outline
Aspiring to be one of the parkour influencer, the gifted young guy from an exorcist kin had been caught up in the swirl of spooky happenings at the eerie hotel.
Writer’s Observation
If you just started in this franchise and had been anticipating for the best tale progression, but it did not pique your interest to keep you watch this movie. The second sequel of this movie had been the best one and sad to say, this one third one is the worst of them all. Just like the other previous movies, the initial act was always strongest but then afterwards, the storyline execution will get cringe and weak. The third act had been horrible too, as if this movie changed to a superhero film.
The acting performance and the some of the scenes were not necessary. The scores and its original song were cheap to say. The make-up department had been fine, but the set of the movie was plain and so simple. The incoming twists had been highly predictable and there are some things that really do not make that sense at all. There are lots of issues in this movie. A really not recommended to watch.
The 2018 movie is an adequate one; however, the 2020 sequel was also the utter rubbish, so it can be concluded that you will not harbor your biggest expectations of this movie in general. The writers did not exactly take the franchise back with its track with this 3rd movie franchise. The plot line felt erratic and cluttered, as if there had been the lack of red thread all throughout this movie course. It can be admitted that at somewhat there is really a struggle to keep you watch this movie. It was a bit hard also to really understand what is really taking place, since the plot was all over its place.
If you have somewhat a limited exposure to Taiwanese movie, and will not be that familiar with their acting and talents to participate in the movie, you can just say that their acting performances were just fair. However, the effects here were good; but then, good effects can do so much that when there is no proper storyline it will not be enjoyable to watch. Sad to say, the movie is another pointless and boring means to spend your time. If you are someone that really enjoys Asian horror movies, do yourself a very nice favor and do not waste your money, effort and time on this movie.
