Story Outline
Set within the bustling Spanish university. After an accidental killing of the lecturer, the crowd of college learners keen on the horror fiction movie and the literature majors agreed on the pact of silence, however, the masked killer clown took them down one at a time.
Writer’s Observation
The movie effortlessly transported the viewers back to that golden era of the 1990 horror and slasher movie, channeling the core of timeless classics such as Scream. If you are a great lover of slashers, you can skip this one. If you are in the good mood for the enjoyable watch, light-hearted, this movie hits the mark.
The acting is not that good and the script is so predictable and forgettable. In addition, there are some important scenarios that are not being explained. Also, it is just fair to say that Fx’s are quite great, but still, it is not enough to rescue this one. Álvaro Mel’s performance had been the testament to his inspiring range, infusing depth to the storyline. The visual elements of the movie are undeniably the strongest assets of it. The enthralling shady aesthetic immersed you completely, heightening an overall atmosphere. With the nostalgic allure and also the exclusive backdrop of the Spanish campus, the movie stands out within the genre. But, there is always room for improvement to the character development that would have allowed a viewer to make the deep connections.
Everyone will expect a lot from this movie. The initial few minutes was good and it keeps more and more just like other movies with computers and telephones. Then, it turned out to a scream movie or just like any other slasher movie from the early 1990s and it would not be a big issue, if it was not that predictable. The viewers then knew what is going to take place, plus those fake bloods were really annoying.
In the nutshell, the movie masterfully offers a delightful journey to go back in time. Their Spanish setting and the commendable visuals added to its appeal, even though the tad more character explorations could have taken a viewing experienced up a notch. Nonetheless, it delivered precisely what their fans crave. Still, it is a watchable movie when you really do not have that much things to do or do not know what else to watch, but otherwise, you can skip this movie if you are expecting something big and wishes to watch a very unforgettable movie, then this is not the best movie for you to watch.
