Narrative

About 2,500 years ago, a monster crossed a bridge from hell into the human kingdom to make the human suffer. Buddha tore both the Black and the Red Eyes from a monster and sheltered them in different Śarīra caskets. Just before the giving up of Red-Eye to Buddha, it loped away for seven days through hiding in the human bodies. Now, on the eighth day, this Red Eye stared back. Being aware that it can’t escape Buddha, it submitted itself to Buddha. These Eyes were hidden in the crags of the Far East and the desert of Far West. Buddha trained his disciples to be certain that they would not meet.

Presently, Prof. Kim Joon-Cheol sets out in a desert to establish the reality of Śarīra caskets. He discovers a relic that had been presumed as one of the coffer. But, a scientific community declared the findings as a fraud and was rejected by all. After 14-years, Prof. Kim, now the bitter individual, was determined to confirm the fact of his own discovery through reuniting the Red and the Black eyes. He unlocks the casket and poured the vial of blood in it, together with his own blood. Before Professor Kim was in time of giving up, Red Eye came out from the casket, apparently possessing Prof. Kim.

While in Gwangju, the protector of Black eye casket, Bhante Ha-jung, realizes that Red eye had rekindled. He told the Cheongseok, the young monk, about the myth of the monster that has two eyes. Later on that evening, Bhante Ha-jung told Cheongseok that this Red Eye had awakened and will reunite soon with Black Eye. They should slay in any case the 7th pillar, a Virgin Shaman, to put off the Red Eye to reunite with Black Eye. Cheongseok should locate Bhante Seon-hwa and then informed him of the happenings. The next morning, Cheongseok locates Bhante Ha-jung as dead, probably died while sleeping. Cheongseok locates the Śarīra casket at the side a dead monk. In the mean time, in Chilgok, Red-eye took over the hunter and goes to a motel, where the couple was witnessed checking in. The lady told her boyfriend of the meditation team where she had given free blood test and health check-up.
Writer’s Notion

When you are someone who does not have any idea with this movie, you will be surprised that from a director casts and crew who are unknown, you will be amaze how the movie turns well. Visually, it is remarkable and almost had that bit anime look into it, the tale is the best portion with the nice turns and twists as it goes along. The story is good with a good unique material. The score and the soundtrack are all really nice, with the best sounding movie, particularly in its surroundings and good acting from most though.
The cinematography was, at least good. The plot could have been greater, since there are some confusing part and a mess because of the way that the story was told. There are some that needed an improvement here since there are some rough editing, there are also some hammy sides, aside from the main monks who did a great job. The real slight part here is that their English dub version is worse here. Also the film is a bit boring, with the vulgar direction, bad score, bad editing, and has a serious pacing issue.
If you want that Korean hereditary, then, this is the movie for you, because overall it is enjoyable.
