Untitled Horror Movie, 2021
This is an American horror comedy movie under the direction of Nick Simon that also co-wrote their screenplay. The film uses the found footage conventions, wherein a scene presents its plot through the computer screen. Narrative

After the actor Declan discovers about “Belle” cancellation, the hit TV show, where Declan stars, he disclosed the news to the other fellow castmates: shallow diva Kelly, aspiring writer Kip, the confident and level-headed Alex, the fun-loving Max and this very ditzy Chrissy. Kip wanted to use the chance and revealed to his acquaintances about the horror film he had been working on. This idea of being responsible of their own film excites them and though Kelly was initially hesitant, she then later agreed on the situation that she needs to star.

The tea starts working over the movie, juggling in between improving the terrible script of Kip and coping with the dissatisfaction of Kelly. Chrissy’s pendulum provides them the idea to shoot the séance and Chrissy agreed to utilize a pendulum during the filming though she’s against with this thought. Max sends most of the sceneries to the manager and claimed that the film will be greatly sought after, inspiring them to keep-on with the movie. Chrissy then begins reciting the séance. In the evening, as they are filming the séance, the team all feel odd that things happen, like as Declan perceiving thunder from the house, although it was really a clear night, then, Kelly felt the gust of wind that blows over her face and the shadow appeared at the back of Chrissy, which she claimed she had zero idea. The crowd noticed the similar shadow later in footage of Alex also.

The following day Chrissy joined in their video call with the blackened eye, and saying that she could not halt hitting herself during the previous evening even after she’d halt filming. The crowd initially rebuked it as Chrissy attempted on seeking attention, but soon realizes that odd things were happening with the other casts each time they attempted on shooting the séance scenery, crawl them out for Kip to call-off the shooting for that evening. In the evening, Kip awakens Alex up and told her Chrissy uploaded the terrifying video of the anonymous person that recorded her while she was sleeping.
Writer’s Notion

How they revealed some of the Hollywood “secrets” was adorable, which might be known by the public now, but most of the people did not think about it deeply. The informal talking style was really nice, as was its abrupt mention of the Botox. It all felt even more normal than most dialogues in the movies, and they are all really appreciated. Obviously, they were overreacting most of the times, but it appears like they can contain it within a reasonable limit. The real movie quality is not the best, the story is shaky and a bit missing, but the casts acting are even more than good. Although it was spooky, but it was enjoyable and those little jabs during the entire politicizing of the industry were mostly on point.
It can be seen why lots of people were really upset after watching the movie, though. It was not that bad at all and there were all those nauseating camera motions of the found footage movie in the making of the found footage film. On top of that, the cast build up was really thin, but that’s a godsend since because the casts were shallow. It is certain there is the perfect audience for this type of movie concept.
