Narrative
Elisa made plans to carpool by the rideshare app to the house of their parents in Calabria to have an abortion, although she is not sure about it. She boarded an RV driven through travel blogger Fabrizio, then being accompanied by, a doctor, Riccardo and the extrovert couple Mark and Sofia. When a bout from the morning sickness of Elisa makes the team to pull over, then, Mark took over the steering for Fabrizio. That evening, Mark gulps beer while driving, then ended up crashing into the tree when he swerved to avoid running above the goat corpse. Elisa woke up in the morning just to witness the crowd doing the first aid over the broken leg of Mark. They realize that they’re not anymore on the lane, but are in a clearing now surrounded by the forest and can’t explain how they will end up there.
Although locating the rustic cabin in a clearing, they did not enter. Riccardo and Fabrizio located three misshapen scarecrows crucified with the pig heads over stakes in the type of altar. Frightened, they leave. Right after Elisa entered the cottage she discovered the ritualistic mural illustrating three deities: Mastosso, Carcagnosso, and Ostro which symbolize the group leadership which worships them in swap over riches and abundance through the human sacrifice. They settle on spending the evening in the RV. The moment that they heard the scream coming from the inside of the house, everybody but Mark settles to go in the house to do some investigation. In the house attic, they discovered the girl trapped in the cocoon of hay. This group is horrified at discovering a girl had her tongue injured.
They witnessed Mark being pulled out of their RV by the three masked figures that take him in the cabin and tied him into the living area table. Hiding in their attic, the team was forced to watch when the three covered figures torture and murdered Mark through gouging out his eye and breaking his foot with the wooden hammer. This trio drags Mark’s body out while the others from the team waited for dawn to flee by the forest. After locating the graveyard of abandoned autos, they find out they aren’t the initial victims of these cult fanatics. This girl revealed her name as Chiara through the diary and Chiara is their only survivor in her family.
Writer’s Notion
This movie is centered in the group of five individuals who had been carpooling in the RV over their trip to Calabria at the Southern Italy. While they are driving in the evening they swerve to evade the deceased animal in the lane and hit the tree. The moment they wake up, it’s daytime already and RV is in the forest clearing and also odd sense, there’s no mark of the road. During the clearing there’s a somewhat sinister house. Then one from the five was badly hurt, so they stayed in the RV, and then the two other guys, the young aspiring movie maker and the doctor headed into the forest looking for the lane, but only locate the macabre tableau presenting severed heads of the pigs’ before finally ending to be back where they began; then, the other two girls who remained behind, come in the house and locate some old pictures. After being reunited, the movie maker told them the dark story told through his mother; one regarding the odd murderous cult. It appears as if it had been more than a tale as a team of guys in animal masks began hunting them down for the sacrifices.
