Narrative

The woman awakened in the airtight medical cryogenic entity and discovered that she was trapped and the oxygen levels of the unit are falling rapidly. Experiencing some memory loss, she doesn’t recall who how she got in there or she is. She is being assisted by one advanced A.I. they called as M.I.L.O. or the Medical Interface Liaison Officers, but it refused to open a Cryo unit with no administrator code. By using MILO, she’s able to finish out outside a pod and contact the emergency services. She provided them with a cryo unit’s model with a serial number that is being printed over the interior. During the contacting of the manufacturer, they’re told that the unit had been destroyed three years ago. Not able to recall any memory, she looked for some clues about the past through doing some researches for articles and pictures by the AI computer where she locates her name as Elizabeth Hansen. She then realized that she’s one cryogenic doctor. She locates Léo Ferguson, her husband, and his contact details through accessing the social media, but if she called his number, one woman answered. She told the lady that she is the wife of Léo and demanded to talk to him. The lady seemed confused and hanged up.

When the level of oxygen kept on falling, she starts hallucinating and tried to unlock a pod, only to take an electric shock. Then, she takes the call back from a police officer, but suspected that they’re hiding something and disconnects. The not famous lady she called before rings and told her that the husband is already dead. She gives her also the administrative code in opening the pod, however, tells her she can’t unlock the pod and/or she will be dead. Elizabeth utilizes the code, and starts floating with no gravity. After the brief explanation, it’s revealed that she had been placed to hyper-sleep for about 34 years trip to the 14 light-year remote planets. The secret mission will be travelling to the latest planet, as mankind may be destroyed in the coming because of the deadly virus. Léo, her husband was also killed by the virus.

Heartbroken by the reality, she assumed the awakening was because of the processor overheating and realized that she must divert a process or function to one more processor assigned to the non-essential function, however, initially failed since the facts exceeds capacity. As it went on and with the oxygen levels fading, Elizabeth prepared for suicide by trying to unlock a pod. After that, she discovered Léo is in hypersleep inside the wrecked spaceship together with the nearly 10,000 others, however, she noticed he lacked the scar over his forehead which he had before. With further investigation, by the video offered by the elderly version about her, it’s revealed that she’s one genetic clone with an original Elizabeth Hansen’s persona and memories implanted, with Léo’s memories. The woman she was talking to on the earth is the unique, and now the elderly, Elizabeth Hansen.
Writer’s Notion

Going through the movie, it can be said that, the less you are informed, the better it is. There had been a good twist and it’s the best one discovered facts at similar as protagonist. Apart from some brief flashbacks, the movie set almost totally within a cramped pod; this provides the impressively claustrophobic sense to proceed. Here, the more it has been discovered, the greater there is the sense of despair. Mélanie Laurent does a really good job as the protagonist; you can sense both with the anguish, occasional optimism and fear as situations alter. The inside of a pod is well styled; sufficiently large for some movement, however, not enough for an entire movement. Overall the solid movie for sci-fi fan who do not demand much of the action. Really, the story had believable twists and is engaging and you will surely enjoy it.
